Iowa Central Career Connections

Iowa Central Career Connections is a work-based learning program designed to help prepare students to be successful as they transition into the workforce by connecting them to local businesses to explore an assortment of fulfilling career options through work-based learning. Iowa Central Career Connections partners with educators and businesses to help create a positive and lasting impression on our future workforce by helping them attain the appropriate skills and knowledge of careers in their interest so they can be better prepared for life after high school and make better post-secondary decisions.

North Central Career Academy

The North Central Career Academy partners with Iowa Central Career Connections to provide work-based learning opportunities for the students that attend the academy. Students attending the Career Academy are exposed to job shadows, interactive speakers, mock interviews, and worksite tours. Students also have the opportunity to receive national credentialing where available and applicable, such as the National Career Readiness Certificate. (NCRC).

Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services Intermediary Network

By partnering with Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Iowa Central Career Connections is able to assist high school students who have disabilities and/or who receive education services under an Individual Education Plan or 504 Plan. Iowa Central Career Connections works with students to improve 21st century skills by providing work-based learning experiences.
