Community and Family Resources (CFR), serving 8 counties in North Central Iowa, providing substance abuse and gambling prevention and treatment services, has 1 Full Time and 1 Part Time openings for Treatment Specialists at the Adult Residential program in Fort Dodge, IA. This position is includes varying shifts and weekends. The Treatment Specialist assists the clinical counseling staff with providing addiction rehabilitation services to substance abusers and their families and concerned persons. The Treatment specialist orientates clients to program services, provides oversight and monitoring of clients, offers feedback and client support, reports client issues to staff, assists with light housekeeping duties, answers the telephone and forwards calls as needed, assists with transportation of clients as directed by supervisors, assists with surveys and data entry, and facilitates education groups as necessary.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, A.A. or working toward A.A. preferred. The ideal candidate should have the ability to apply previous experience and/or training to assist in the provision of substance abuse treatment services, the ability to establish good working relationships with clients and staff, complete accurate and timely written reports, maintain clear boundaries and confidentiality, and be flexible in assisting with other duties as assigned. The Treatment Specialist is required to have a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance. Post offer background check and pre-employment drug screen required.
