Welcome to Iowa Central!
At Iowa Central we strive to be the best athletically and academically. In only four seasons, our men’s cross country program has finished as National Runner-ups twice (2005, 07) and our women’s cross country team was crowned NATIONAL CHAMPIONS (2007) and finished as the smartest athletic team in the NJCAA (2006). In only three seasons, both our men’s and women’s track and field programs have finished as high as sixth in the nation during the indoor season and 10th in the nation during the outdoor season. In 2006 and 2007 our men’s and women’s track and field teams have finished the season with at least a combined 3.25 GPA.
If
you were to become a part of the Track and Field and/or Cross Country
programs at Iowa Central you would be opening doors for yourself.
My goal is to provide you with OPPORTUNITIES! Opportunities
to learn more about yourself, set and reach both academic and athletic
goals, compete at the collegiate level, build relationships with
teammates and have fun!
We compete against community colleges, private colleges and universities throughout the state and surrounding areas. In Cross Country, each team has the opportunity to compete at the National level. In addition, an optional NJCAA ½ marathon championship is held each year if you so desire. In Track and Field, qualification standards serve as entry to both the Indoor and Outdoor National Championships.
