Students planning to pursue a career in business have the opportunity to complete their general education courses at Iowa Central Community College. The curriculum of the Associate of Arts degree in business is designed to prepare students who plan to transfer to a four-year university. The curriculum provides a wide variety of business courses for students to explore by enhancing their skills. Students have multiple choices in the selection of their business courses to develop skills such as, accounting, entrepreneurship, economics, human relations, law, management, and marketing.

Due to variations in graduation requirements among the four-year institutions, it is advised for the student to check the specific requirements of the institution which he/she plans to transfer and consult with the transfer counselor of the institution on a regular basis. The student should also consult with a business advisor at Iowa Central.
