Introduction to Philosophy

Course Description

In this course we will read and discuss selections from historical and contemporary philosophers. This course surveys central positions held by philosophers on several central issues on philosophy such as skepticism, the mind/body problem, the existence of God, and the justification of moral norms. Arguments for and against these positions are presented and discussed, and students are encouraged to participate in the discussion.
