Course Description
This course will examine classroom behavior with emphasis on motivation and promotion of learning. This course will also introduce the nature of learning as well as different theories of learning, measurements of learning, personal characteristics of students, and educational procedures. My hope is that by the end of this course, you can develop your own teaching philosophy that can be applied to your future classroom.

There will be a variety of different assignments throughout the course. These will include: essays, case studies, article reviews, quizzes, and exams. I highly encourage you to read through the syllabus first, as this will outline exactly what we will do in this course. For each topic, you will generally have an assignment or two along with an assessment. There will be a larger exam every 3-4 topics. In addition to this, you will be required to write a larger research paper and a paper that details your own teaching philosophy.
