Online courses are taught via the internet using iNET (located in TritonPass). Each course begins and ends with the semester dates. Assignments and discussion postings are required for each week of the course. There are weekly deadlines and due dates in Online courses.

You can ONLY enroll in an Online course during the registration period and during the Add/Drop period (first four days of the semester).
You must pay for your Online course in full, including any minimum balance, prior to the start of the term or within seven (7) calendar days after the semester begins, or you will be dropped from your course(s). Login information is sent to your Iowa Central Student Email account, but will not be sent til full payment has been received.
Before you can start your Online course, it needs to be paid for in full, including any minimum balance. This can be done over the telephone with a credit card by calling Iowa Central at 1-800-362-2793, extension 4880. You can also mail your payment using a check or money order. Keep in mind that your course will need to be paid for in full within 7 days of the start of the term.
When registration is complete and payment is made, an Online Welcome E-mail with login information and the start/end dates for your course will be sent to your Iowa Central Student E-mail Account.
To access your Iowa Central Student E-mail Account, go to the Iowa Central home page and click on the TritonPass link. This will take you to the login page you need to use to get to your e-mail account.
Your username is the first part of your e-mail address (without the “@student.iowacentral.edu”). To look up your username click on the link under the “Students” heading on the TritonPass login page that reads: “Click here if you need help logging in.” and follow the directions on this page.
Your password is the first three letters of your last name in CAPS and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. (If you do not have a Social Security Number, try using the last four digits of your Iowa Central student ID number.)

After you login to TritonPass, your e-mail account can be found by clicking on the TritonPass padlock in the upper left corner of the main page, then click on the “E-mail” link. This is where you will find your Online Welcome E-mail. A copy of your Online Welcome E-mail can also be found on your WebAdvisor account under the “Internet Welcome Information” link.
To access your Online course, click on the “iNET” link found in the TritonPass padlock drop down menu. This is the iNET student course listing page. On this page you will find a list of the courses you have enrolled in. To officially enter a course, click on the course title.
When must I first log into my Online Course?
You must log into each of your courses within the first two (2) weeks of your start date. If you do not login within the first two weeks of your start date you will be administratively withdrawn from your Online course(s).
You must complete the Withdrawal Request form (found in WebAdvisor) at least 4 weeks, or more, prior to the end of the term.
To drop a course, students should log-in to WebAdvisor and click on “Withdraw/Drop a Course” to complete the online drop form. Students choosing not to drop the class using the online drop procedure must pick up a Change of Enrollment form in the Student Records Office, obtain the instructor’s signature, and return the form to the Student Records Office for processing.
If your withdraw date qualifies for tuition credit, it will be calculated in accordance with the current college refund policy. Refunds are based upon the number of calendar days (including Saturday and Sunday) in the course between the start and end date.
You must consult your Welcome Email for your specific refund schedule dates. A copy of your Welcome Email is also saved in your WebAdvisor account under Interet Welcome Information.
The following is ONLY AN EXAMPLE of the refund schedule IF you are enrolled at the start of the term.
Session days 1 – 7. . . . . . 100%
Session days 8 – 14. . . . . 75%
Session days 15 – 21. . . . 50%
In Distance Education courses, a session day is defined as any calendar day, Sunday-Saturday.
