Internet Based - Senior Year Plus
Courses taken through the Internet Based & On Campus - Senior Year Plus Program can be concurrent enrollment courses at Iowa Central and are available to high school students in grades nine through twelve. These courses may be taken in a variety of different ways—face-to-face (on campus) or FlexNet. Each high school determines which courses are approved.
Students must fill out the Iowa Central Senior Year Plus enrollment form with a designated person at the high school, usually the counselor or principal. Students wanting to enroll in English or math courses are required to meet Iowa Central’s minimum qualifications on a mandatory assessment test in order to enroll in these courses.
There is no cost to the student for either the course or for the books, even if the student should withdraw or fail the course. Books are loaned to the students with the understanding that they are returned to the bookstore at the end of the course. In order for the school to receive the textbooks for the students, a school official must fill out SYP/PSEO Textbook Order Form found in the upper navigation of this page. The high school is billed for each course.
Students in Internet Based & On Campus - SYP courses are expected to follow Iowa Central’s policies and guidelines, which can be found in the Handbook for High School Students Enrolled in College Courses.
