Sustainable Energy Technology Program
Why not do something fun? Our dynamic “hands-on” program will prepare students for work or further education in the growing fields of energy conservation and renewable energy production.

To give our students more career choices, we master theindustrial side of things, but also study green investing, energy auditing, solar power, co-generation, and numerous new and exciting high-tech innovations. We also offer a degree of personalized flexibility within the program with our Energy Research Project and Internships.
Our graduates can continue their education to practice as specialized lawyers, specialized investment advisors, entrepreneurs, executives, or even go straight into the workforce as electrical energy technicians, small commercial and residential technicians and installers, photovoltaic and wind system installers, energy auditors, wind farm technicians, back-up generator maintenance technicians, instrumentation, environmental control, energy management, or industrial maintenance electricians. Our program is designed to be sure that our students are never restricted to just one job, because the world is your oyster.
Students can complete the program in two years (with an eight week summer internship) and receive an Associate in Applied Sciences Degree in Sustainable Energy Technology.
At Iowa Central, we believe the best way to learn is to "do." This means our students get hands-on experience with several types of technology, to "open doors" in life.
