Communication and Visual Arts Meta-Major

Communications and Visual Arts Meta-Majors Meta majors are categories of interest designed to help students focus on academic pathways aligned with intended careers and transfer programs. Meta-majors, sometimes referred to as career clusters or communities of interest, group individual majors under a larger academic umbrella. These programs help you make connections between your studies and different career tracks. You will also have set schedules depending on your meta-major.

The Meta Major for Communication and Visual Arts represents interest in the following majors: Graphic Design, Journalism, Digital Mass Communication, Professional Photography, TV and Video Production, Visual Arts, Music and Theater. However, it is not limited to these majors.
