The new program will provide students with an in-depth knowledge of the photo industry and all the requisite skills to go into the business of photography. Students will receive a strong education in Professional Photography by participating in hands-on learning and classroom discussions in state-of-the-art studios, classrooms, and computer labs. Emphasis will be placed on effective camera operation, digital image enhancement and manipulation, studio lighting, and set design for portraiture and commercial photography.
Students will learn to use the equipment needed for on-location assignments, as well as business and marketing skills and techniques for successful promotion and sales. In addition, students will receive hands-on experiences in the field of photojournalism, recording breaking and feature news, along with extensive coverage of sports photography. Instruction will be directed in a manner that assures each student receives a well-rounded education in the practical application of professional photography!
