Iowa Central to Host Career Exploration Day

FORT DODGE – Iowa Central Community College will be hosting its annual Career Visit Day on Thursday, Feb. 28. The Career Visit Day will differ from the typical senior visit days Iowa Central regularly hosts. The visit will focus on 35 of Iowa Central’s career-oriented programs.
The day will be geared towards students who wish to study in a specialized field. Iowa Central’s programs in the medical, computer programming, business, mass communication, agriculture and construction fields will be on display during the visit in addition to many more.
The visit day will begin in Hodges Fieldhouse with registration from 8:00-9:15 a.m. During that time a “Program Showcase” will be held inside the gym. Representatives from the featured programs, as well as coaches from the athletic programs, will be at information booths to meet with students.
Students will then choose two preferred programs to visit and tour during the morning. At 12:15 p.m. there will be a student-parent session where students and parents will get to ask questions and get more information before lunch at 12:30 p.m. The visit will end with an optional campus tour at 1:00 p.m.
