The Computer Networking program at Iowa Central competed at the SkillsUSA Iowa competition held at DMACC in Ankeny.  This is an event that many of the community colleges in the state of Iowa participate in. The areas that the students competed in were Internetworking, Technical Computer Applications, Telecommunications Cabling, and Information Technology Services.  They had a successful day as they brought home 4 medals from the competition.  The following students represented the Iowa Central Computer Networking program that day:

  • Shyler Allbee– Gold – Internetworking
  • Casey Iles – Gold – Telecommunication Cabling
  • Justin Romo – Gold – Technical Computer Applications
  • Kelvin Campe – Gold – Information Technology Services

Those that earned gold are eligible to compete at the National SkillsUSA competition to be held in Louisville, KY this June. Congratulations to all those that participated and best of luck to all those going on to Nationals, bring home the gold.
