FORT DODGE – It’s an exciting time for the Fort Dodge campus at Iowa Central Community College as dorms are filling up and the campus is buzzing with hundreds of students ready for the new year. To help welcome students back to campus, Iowa Central will once again host its First Two Weeks activities beginning on Tuesday, August 29, with a full schedule of activities.

“This a great thing that we are able to do to really welcome the students onto campus,” said Student Activities Coordinator Anthony Acklin. “There are lots of fun activities going on and it really makes this time even more exciting.”

Tuesday will kick-off with the annual “Donuts with Dan”. Students will be welcomed onto campus with dounts and water from Iowa Central President Dr. Dan Kinney and the rest of the Iowa Central faculty and staff in the Iowa Central parking lots. There will also be a cookout in the Courtyard as well as carnival games. Dozens of activities will continue through the first two weeks until the final Courtyard cookout beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9. Most activities are free or offered at a reduced price for Iowa Central students with a valid student ID.
