FORT DODGE - The Career Education Building on the Iowa Central Community College Fort Dodge campus has traded in student-athletes and sweating co-eds for farm equipment, information booths and farmers this week as the Farm News Ag Show returns for its tenth year on campus.
After enjoying a record-breaking crowd of over 3,000 visitors last year, the 2011 edition proves to be even bigger with a record number of vendors on hand for the event. Over 70 vendors featuring exhibits ranging from high-tech machinery to toys packed in the CEB Gym. Tractors and farm equipment shared a space with information booths and salesmen.
Aside from the exhibits, the free event also featured several speakers, lunch, a free pancake breakfast on Thursday and prize drawings throughout the two-day event.
The tenth annual Farm News Ag Show began at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30 and finished on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 3:00 p.m.
