FORT DODGE - The Iowa Central student art show, From Our Perspective, has been rescheduled for Friday, Jan. 27, from 6:00-8:00  p.m. at the Permanent Collections Gallery in Fort Dodge. The gallery will also host an opening reception for the Iowa Central art students’ show.

“This is the first time Iowa Central students have been invited to a gallery to show their work so it is an exciting time for them,” said Iowa Central art professor Maureen Seamonds. “The public is invited stop by to greet them and share some refreshments.”

The show will be a multimedia art show. Not only will the art students be on display, but the evening’s music will be provided by students in the Iowa Central vocal department. The show will run through Feb. 12. Permanent Collection Gallery Art is open Thursdays from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Fridays from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Permanent Collections is located at 801 1st Ave North.

The show was originally scheduled to open on Friday, Jan. 20, but poor weather forced the change of dates.

The Iowa Central art students will also exhibit work during the “Arts Expose” on Sunday, Jan. 29, from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. at Willow Ridge as part of the “Arts at the Ridge” celebration. The show will include the award winners from the Holiday Student Juried Art show.
