FORT DODGE - Iowa Central dental hygiene students will again be hosting Give Kids a Smile Day on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 8:00 a.m. - Noon at the Iowa Central Community College Dental Hygiene Clinic, located in room 102 of the Applied Science and Technology Building.

The dental hygiene students, along with the help of local dentists, will provide several free services for children between the ages of 2-17. The services provided will include x-rays, fillings, sealants, extractions, and dental exams. In addition to the dental treatment, the students will be making free tooth prints, which can help find missing children.  Please call 515-574-1327 to make an appointment.

The nationwide program is sponsored by the American Dental Association. It is celebrating its tenth year of Give Kids a Smile Day and this will be Iowa Central’s fifth year working with the event. Give Kids A Smile is meant to accomplish two things—help children get the dental care they so desperately need and raise awareness that our children deserve a better health care system that addresses their dental health. Last year, nearly $2,000 of free services were provided.
