Iowa Central BPA has strong showing at State

FORT DODGE - The Iowa Central chapter of the Business Professionals of America had another impressive weekend at the Iowa State Leadership Competition in Des Moines on Feb. 26-29. Each of the six students that competed for Iowa Central qualified for the national competition in Chicago on April 25-29.
Devin Mabra, a sophomore from Spirit Lake, was named the 2012-13 Iowa Business Professionals of America Postsecondary President. Mabra also placed in six sections over the competition including a pair of fourth place finishes in Extemporaneous Speech and Merit Scholar sections.
Brittany Fiala, a sophomore from Moorland, won first place in three sections including Advanced Accounting, Federal Income Tax Accounting Concepts and Payroll Accounting. She was also third in Computerized Accounting.
Alexis Tony, a freshman from New Haven, Conn., and Christine Adams, a freshman from Humboldt, were both first in the Small Business Management section.
