The trainers utilized the American Heart Association Heartsaver class, which includes CPR, with hands-on training, Medical Emergency situations (how to recognize and treat) and Emergency Trauma (conditions and treatments).
CPR topics ranged from how to use AED (Automatic External Defibrillators for how to do the Heimlich Maneuver for adult, child, and infant choking.
Medical Emergency topics included how to recognize and treat heart attacks, seizures, diabetic emergencies, as well as heat related emergencies.
Amber also refreshed everyone on the College’s emergency plan and key contacts as well.
