Computer Networking Students Compete at SkillsUSA Iowa

The Computer Networking program at Iowa Central competed at the SkillsUSA Iowa competition at DMACC in Des Moines. This is an event that many of the community colleges in the state of Iowa participate in. The areas that the students participated in were Internetworking, Technical Computer Applications, Telecommunications Cabling, and Information Technology Services. They had a successful day as they brought home 5 medals from the competition. The following students represented Iowa Central that day:
Isaac Ross – Gold – Internetworking
Zach Fouch – Gold – Telecommunication Cabling
Jack Murray – Bronze – Telecommunications Cabling
Gavin Freking – Gold – Technical Computer Applications
Kelvin Campe – Bronze – Information Technology Services
Tyler Lyon – Information Technology Services
Those that earned gold are eligible to compete at the National SkillsUSA competition to be held in Louisville, KY this June. Congratulations to all those that participated and best of luck to all those going on to Nationals, bring home the gold.
