The Iowa Central Community College Board of Directors invites applications for the position of College President. The President is the Chief Executive Officer and reports to an elected nine-member Board of Directors. The incoming President will be a trusted, innovative and transformative leader who will embrace the College’s rich history of community and family as well as strong academic, fine arts, and athletic programs. This position will build upon and create authentic relationships and partnerships with education institutions, employers, donors and the community. The new President will have the privilege of leading a highly collaborative, passionate and mission-focused team that works within a student-first culture.
Iowa Central Community College is a nationally recognized vibrant and innovative higher education leader. The College was organized in 1966 and serves a nine-county service area. Located in north central Iowa, Iowa Central has built a reputation for student success, strategic growth, employer of choice, and community partner. The College’s main campus is located in Fort Dodge with centers in Storm Lake and Webster City as well as Career Academy presence in Eagle Grove, Laurens, and Jefferson. In 2020, Iowa Central ranked 6th of all Two-Year Colleges in Student Success Rate by the Chronicle of Higher Education with 96% of all students either completing their degrees, transferring or were still enrolled. Iowa Central has led the way in creating a student-centered college experience, which includes more than $70 million in college facilities improvements in the last ten years. Iowa Central also offers tremendous athletic and performing arts opportunities. The student to teacher ratio is 16:1, and more than 50 degrees, diplomas, and certificate options are offered.
