Student Ambassador Qualifications
Ambassadors are current students selected on the basis of leadership, personality, and desire to promote Iowa Central both on and off campus. Minimum qualifications include:
- Maintain full-time student status (12 credit hours per semester)
- Maintain a minimum 2.8 Cumulative GPA
Required Expectations
- Sixteen volunteer hours completed throughout each semester in the Admissions Departments
- Attendance at all Triton Visit Days and Middle School Visit Days throughout the year
- Submit a minimum of 10 student generated social media content pieces for use on Iowa Central Social Media pages
Responsibilities
- Leading campus tours for prospective students and their families
- Walking current and prospective students to different departments on campus
- Participate in group visit days such as Triton Visit Days, Middle School Visit Days, and large-school group visits
- Provide assistance in the Admissions Office (if needed). Primary focus is giving tours
- Nominations of two students for President / Vice President of the program each year
- Create 12 pieces of student generate social media content each semester for use on Iowa Central's Social Media
Training
Evaluation
At the end of each semester all Ambassadors are evaluated and rehired for the following semester based on their performance.
Compensation
Ambassadors receive a minimum of a $500 scholarship each semester upon completion of requirements.
