Student Ambassador Program
Be the Face of Iowa Central
Do you love Iowa Central and enjoy meeting new people? As a Student Ambassador, you'll play an important role in helping prospective students and their families feel welcome on campus. Ambassadors serve as student leaders, campus tour guides, and representatives of the Iowa Central community.
This is a great opportunity to build leadership skills, gain professional experience, make new friends, and earn scholarship money while sharing your Iowa Central experience with others.

Who Can Apply?
Student Ambassadors are current Iowa Central students selected based on their leadership, personality, professionalism, and desire to positively represent Iowa Central both on and off campus.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Maintain full-time student status (12 credit hours per semester)
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be dependable, positive, and enthusiastic about Iowa Central
- Be willing to serve as a role model for current and prospective students
What You'll Do
As a Student Ambassador, you will:
- Lead campus tours for prospective students and their families
- Welcome visitors and share your Iowa Central experience
- Assist current and prospective students in finding offices and services on campus
- Participate in major recruitment events, including:
- Triton Visit Days
- Middle School Visit Days
- Large group campus visits
- Support the Admissions Office during special events and high-traffic visit days
- Create engaging content for Iowa Central's Student Ambassador social media platforms
- Help select student leaders by nominating candidates for Ambassador President and Vice President
Program Expectations
To remain in good standing and earn your scholarship, ambassadors are expected to:
- Complete a minimum of 10 campus tours each semester
- Attend all Triton Visit Days and Middle School Visit Days
- Attend monthly ambassador meetings and social events
- Create and submit student-generated content for Iowa Central social media platforms
- Serve as a positive representative of Iowa Central both on and off campus
Scholarship amounts increase with participation. Ambassadors who complete more tours can earn a larger scholarship, with opportunities available for up to 20 tours per semester.
Training
Training for the Fall 2026 semester will be held on August 20 and 21. Attendance is required.
During training, you'll learn:

- Social media expectations
- Leadership and communication skills
