Iowa Central Financial Aid
The financial aid staff at Iowa Central is here to assist students and families with all aspects of the financial aid process. Financial aid assistance may be available to eligible students to help pay for the cost of attending college. For help finding and applying for financial aid, contact the Financial Aid Office.

Private Student Loans
- Private student loans may be available to students who meet Lender criteria
- May require creditworthiness and/or co-signer

How can I apply for a Parent PLUS loan?
- Parents can borrow this loan to help cover the student’s account balance at Iowa Central.
- To apply, go to studentaid.gov
- Sign in as the parent with the parent’s Federal Student Aid Id. If you do not have an FSA Id you may apply for one at http://studentaid.gov.
- Once signed in, click “Request a Direct PLUS Loan,” then choose “Parent PLUS.”
- Go through and apply for the loan. At the end of the application it will tell you if you have been approved or denied. If approved, make sure to go on to complete the Parent PLUS Master Promissory Note.
- Click on the link to download the Parent Plus Loan Authorization Form.
- If your application is denied, please contact the Financial Aid Office to let us know. The student may be eligible for additional unsubsidized loans.
