Distinguished Alumni Award
The Distinguished Alumni Award is given to alumni by Iowa Central Community College, Eagle Grove Junior College, Webster City Junior College, or Fort Dodge Junior College. This award honors Iowa Central alumni who are recognized for preeminent contributions to their professions and/or community. (Current members of the faculty, staff, board of directors, and award committee members are ineligible to receive this award.)
A person must meet the following to be eligible for induction:
- The Iowa Central Community College graduate has been locally, nationally or internationally recognized for contributions to his/her profession or community.
- Alumni to be honored must have been removed from Iowa Central Community College a minimum of five years.
There are no restrictions on who may nominate. However, those nominating someone MUST be identified and secure the permission of the nominee. The nominator must also secure two additional letters of recommendation to be submitted to the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations.
The inaugural class will feature up to five inductees and each subsequent class will have no more than five inductees.
Inductees will be honored at the Hall of Fame Ceremony and Banquet. The induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022.

I chose Iowa Central because of the low cost of tuition and it was close to home.
