Distinguished Faculty & Staff Award

Iowa Central is proud to announce the creation of the Triton Distinguished Faculty & Staff Award. This award honors a former faculty or staff member who has provided leadership to Iowa Central Community College, Eagle Grove Junior College, Webster City Junior College, or Fort Dodge Junior College and exemplifies the College’s strong commitment to providing excellent educational opportunities in and outside of the classroom. One award will be granted annually. Current members of the faculty, staff, board of directors, and award committee are ineligible to receive this award.

Criteria

---

In addition to formerly serving as a faculty or staff member for Iowa Central Community College, the nominee must meet at least three of the following to be eligible for induction:

1. Possesses a distinguished record of teaching effectiveness, both inside and outside of the classroom
2. Demonstrates strong support of Iowa Central and the surrounding community through educational leadership or service
3. Through dedication and character, has inspired students and other educators to higher achievement
4. Used creativity and innovation to engage and challenge students
5. Demonstrates a commitment to life-long learning

There are no restrictions on who may nominate. However, those nominating someone must be identified and secure the permission of the nominee. The nominator must also secure two additional letters of recommendation to be submitted to the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations.

Class Size

The inaugural class will feature one inductee and each subsequent class will have no more than one inductee each year.

Ceremony

---

Inductees will be honored at the Hall of Fame Ceremony and Banquet. The induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2024.
