Course Description: This course provides students with a basic level of knowledge and skills to provide safe, effective resident care. This nurse aide course meets the training requirements of The Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987 (OBRA) for aides working in nursing facilities (NF) and skilled nursing facilities (SNF).
Course Comments: State Background checks are required by law to be completed prior to class starting. Medical paperwork due 1st day of class or before clinical starts. Physical and 2 step TB screening required. Scrub uniform (may be any color) Gait and textook may be purchased at ICCC bookstore.
