Admissions Representative

About the Position


Under limited direction, the Admissions Representative serves as an initial positive contact for prospective students to the College. Primary responsibilities include planning and scheduling recruitment activities and visiting high schools throughout Iowa, representing Iowa Central at college fairs, conducting campus appointments and tours, making decisions regarding distribution of scholarship funds, and recommending strategies for recruitment on an ongoing basis. The Admissions Representative will be required to exercise discretion and independent judgment to perform the foregoing. Position includes extensive contact with students, parents and high school personnel. Travel will be required to high schools, college/high school fairs, and related recruiting activities. Will be required to work evening and/or weekend hours.

Requirements


Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Should be enthusiastic about the community college and be able to relate well to the wide variety of people it serves.  Previous experience in a community college is desirable.  Must have a valid driver’s license.

Salary Range


$37,711-38,454.
