The Iowa Central Career Services office will host its spring 2017 Career Fair on Friday, March 31, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Career Education Building on the main campus.

Representatives from over 100 for-profit, government, and non-profit organizations will be available to meet with individuals regarding full-time employment and internship opportunities. Individuals of all majors, including first-year students, are encouraged to attend in addition to alumni and the general public.

Individuals can prepare by visiting the Career Services website where a comprehensive document lists all attending organizations and websites available.

Individuals planning to attend the Fair should prepare by having an updated version of their resume, researching the organizations ahead of time, and developing a short elevator speech in order to introduce themselves to prospective employers.

Individuals are encouraged to visit the Center's website for tips on how to prepare for the Fair. It is important for Fair attendees to be dressed professionally and to make a positive impression. Individuals are encouraged to visit the Fair, even if organizations at this time are not recruiting their particular major.

In addition, the Career Services office would like to remind individuals seeking jobs and internships that there are a number of ways to secure such opportunities. Individuals should utilize the Career Services job posting board. The staff are always willing to meet with individuals to discuss their job or internship searches, as well as other career-related questions.
