Iowa Central Community College will host the annual Grad Fest event on Tuesday, April 19.
The event will take place from the Student Resource Center on the Fort Dodge campus and run from 9 a.m.-to-6 p.m.
Grad Fest is an opportunity for graduating students to ask any graduation-related questions, make payments and talk to various departments about any questions they may have. Also, the Career Services department will be on hand to help give those entering the workforce a head start.
“We are excited to be celebrating the 55th annual commencement/graduating class of Iowa Central Community College,” said Courtney Kopp, Registrar for Iowa Central. “Whether the students are transferring on, or going directly into the workforce to fulfill the very important career and technical jobs in our region and beyond, we are pleased they chose Iowa Central.
“Grad Fest is the one-stop shop for students to pick up their cap and gown and take care of all their needs prior to graduation. We look forward to seeing the Triton graduates there to celebrate their accomplishments.”
Students may also pick up their cap and gown during Grad Fest. Jostens will be on hand for any questions related to the cap and gown.
Student Records, Business Office, Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Services, Bookstore, Advising Center, Alumni Services and International Student Services Coordinator will all have someone available during Grad Fest to meet with students.
The campus has a spectacular structure. ICCC has individual learning, as it is a school with a "smaller" number of students, the teachers give you more attention which helps you better understand the subject. The ARC helps students, as there is a reading and writing center inside, as well as tutors for general subjects.
