The Iowa Central Diversity Committee celebrated veterans and their families on Friday November 11 with a Veteran’s Day program.
The program with administrators and staff was held in the Greehey Family Student Services Building on the Iowa Central Campus and featured patriotic music by the Iowa Central Concert band and Concert Choir, a flag ceremony, candlelighting ceremony and a Veteran’s Day poem.
Marvin Carr, an Iowa Central student who is also a U.S. Navy Veteran and commander of the Fort Dodge American Legion Post 130 spoke on the history and significance of Veteran’s Day and each branch of the military was honored.
Following the program in Greehey, it was again presented for students, staff and campus visitors in the Triton Café.
