Iowa Central Community College will be hosting more than 80 businesses at its Fort Dodge Campus on Wednesday, March 1 for the annual Spring Career Fair.
Both students and the general public are welcome to attend the event, which will run from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Career Education Building. This is the second career fair, as one was also held in the fall.
No pre-registration is required. Attendees may check in at the door, where they will receive a name tag, a list of employers in attendance and a map of where to locate them in the building.
“A lot of employers are looking for help right now,” said Eric Oberg, Career Services coordinator at Iowa Central. “There will be a lot of opportunities for everyone to explore and make connections.”
Oberg noted the importance of bringing a resume to the event as well as “dressing for success” to make a good first impression.
Companies in a large variety of fields, including agriculture, automotive, education, healthcare, business, law enforcement, government and manufacturing and military will be in attendance recruiting employees at the fair.
“There will be a lot of good opportunities for our students, who will soon be new graduates, to explore,” said Oberg. “And members of the community can also fill the needs of local employers.”
A full list of employers who will be in attendance can be found on the Iowa Central Career Services website at https://www.iowacentral.edu/Career_Services/career_fair.asp

I chose Iowa Central because both of my parents came here and absolutely loved the environment. I was able to be a part of so many programs at once which isn't offered at other colleges. I knew right away after visiting that it would be a great school where I could better myself as a student and as an athlete.
