Iowa Central Community College will be holding 2023-2024 first year student orientation in July and August.

Orientation Days will be offered on Friday July 14, Friday July 28 and Friday August 11. First Year Orientation is an opportunity for students to explore campus, connect with other students, meet staff members, and prepare for the fall semester.

All Orientation Days will begin with registration at 9 a.m. The morning will include three 45-minute informational sessions for students and parents to learn more about services offered on campus, student success in college and parent question and answer time.

Lunch and open houses begin at 12:15 p.m. and will offer students time to meet with Academic Advising, the Academic Resource Center, Admissions, Bookstore, Business Office, Housing, Military and Veteran Services, the REC Center and Student Services and Intramurals. Staff from the Athletic and Music and Theatre departments will be available from 12:15 until 2 p.m.

The July 14 orientation will also serve as Tool Day for the Automotive Collision, Automotive, Technology, and Diesel Technology programs. Tool Vendors will be set up in the Career Education Building from 12-4 p.m. for students to compare the various brands of tools. Representatives from MAC Tools, Snap-On, and potentially other vendors will be present. Most tool vendors allow students a discount. It is highly recommended to have financial aid completed prior to attending Tool Day. Orientation is not required, but it is encouraged for first year students.
