Iowa Central Community College will be hosting around 95 businesses at its Fort Dodge Campus on Wednesday, October 4 for the annual Fall Career Fair.

Both students and the public are welcome to attend the event, which will run from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Career Education Building.

The Career Fair is an outstanding opportunity for employers, students, alumni and the general public to connect.  All are welcome to attend this job fair to look for new or better opportunities, discover how skills may transfer to a different industry, explore career pathways and connect with over 95 employers about full-time, part-time, seasonal, and internship opportunities.

No pre-registration is required. Attendees may check in at the door, where they will receive a name tag, a list of employers in attendance and a map of where to locate them in the building. It is encouraged to bring a resume and dress for success as if attending an interview.

Companies in a large variety of fields, including agriculture, automotive, education, healthcare, business, law enforcement, government, manufacturing and military will be in attendance recruiting employees at the fair.

“The Fall Career Fair is a perfect time for first year and transfer students to ‘plant a seed’ even if they don’t need a job right now,” said Eric Oberg, director of Career Services. “Those same employers attending our career events are also found at the many universities surrounding our campus. This will not be the last time they cross paths. For our graduating students entering the job market in May, they should be looking to field offers now. Employers are hungry and looking to lock in qualified candidates.”
