The Iowa Central Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony on Thursday evening, February 13, at 7:00 p.m.
A total of 31 new members were inducted into Iowa Central’s Lambda Kappa chapter, recognizing their academic excellence and commitment to the four hallmarks of PTK: Service, Fellowship, Scholarship, and Leadership.
To be eligible for PTK, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of college-level coursework and maintain a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
“Phi Theta Kappa is not just about academic achievement; it’s also about giving back to the community,” said chapter adviser Samantha McClain.
In addition to service opportunities, PTK members have access to leadership development programs, conferences, and scholarships for four-year institutions. They may also attend the international convention, where they can connect with fellow scholars from across the country.
