Iowa Central 2025 All Iowa Academic Team

On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, outstanding students from across the state gathered in Des Moines to be honored as part of the 2025 All Iowa Academic Team, a prestigious recognition presented by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. These students were nominated by their respective colleges for their academic excellence, leadership, and service to their communities. Iowa Central Community College proudly recognized five students for their remarkable achievements.

Each year, colleges are eligible to nominate up to two students per pathway—transfer and workforce—who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance and a commitment to service. 

Iowa Central's 2025 All Iowa Academic Team Honorees:

• Sidney Bieret – Sidney graduated from East Sac County High School. She is majoring in Interactive Digital Studies and plans to transfer to the University of Northern Iowa. While at Iowa Central Sidney has been awarded the Valedictorian Scholarship, William Greehey Endowed Scholarship, Charitable Scholarship, Liberal Arts/Transfer Departmental Scholarship, Student Merit Scholarship. She was on the President's List Fall 2024 and is an active member of Phi Theta Kappa and Programming and Activities Club.

• Riley Jensen – Riley graduated from Webster City High School. He is majoring in finance and plans to attend UNI next year. While attending Iowa Central he has been named to the President's List, Dean's List, and received the Triton Excellence Award.  Riley has been a member of the Fishing Club, Programming and Activities Club, InterVarsity and is the president of the Accounting/Business club.

• Shelvee Keller – Shelvee is a nursing major from Galva, Iowa. She plans to enter the workforce, eventually beginning Master's in Nursing with Concentration for Family Nurse Practitioner. She is an active member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and is the Lambda Kappa Vice President of Scholarship.

• Tristin Ludwig – Tristin is from Lake View, Iowa and graduated from East Sac County High School. She is majoring in Speech Language Pathology and plans to transfer to UNI. While at Iowa Central she has been named to the fall 2023 Dean's List and President's list spring 2024 and fall 2024. Tristin has served as the Student Ambassador President, President of Programming and Activities Club (PAC) and Phi Theta Kappa Vice President of Service. 

• Madison Theisen – Madison graduated from Alta-Aurelia High School. She is majoring in accounting and plans to transfer to Buena Vista University.  She has been an active member of Phi Theta Kappa and Accounting/Business Club.

Iowa Central Community College is incredibly proud of these students for their hard work and dedication to academic and professional excellence. Their achievements serve as an inspiration to their peers and a testament to the exceptional talent within the Iowa Central community. Congratulations to the 2025 All Iowa Academic Team honorees!
