Congratulations go out to The Iowa Central Dental Hygiene students who were awarded 1st place Brigietta Uhlenhopp and Lindsey Sprengeler-Stem Cells- Not Just from Embryos and 3rd place Kaylee Johnson and Cara O’Conner Think Pink in the Oral Cavity in the Iowa Dental Hygiene Annual Session Table Clinics Competition in Iowa City on May 5 and 6th.
The Iowa dental hygiene schools compete for monetary prizes and bragging rights! Iowa Central has placed in the top 3 each year we have competed!

The table clinic is an informal table top presentation using oral communication and visual media to inform, clarify, and/or review material on a specific topic. One may call it a mini refresher course.

A table clinic presents useful and timely information in an original, interesting manner. This information may be technique; theory, service; trend; or expanded opportunity in the practice of dental hygiene and/or the realm of oral health.

The students also presented their table clinics at the Iowa Dental Association Annual session presenting to over 3,100 attendees including dentists, lab technicians, dental assistants and hygienists.

The Iowa Central Dental Hygiene Program is proud to compete and place in the top three yet again in this exceptional event. Way to go Team Hygiene! Go Tritons!
