2026 Orientation
Are you joining us this fall at Iowa Central Community College? We’re excited to welcome you to campus! Our First-Year Orientation Days are a great opportunity to get to know Iowa Central, meet fellow students and staff, and feel confident heading into your first semester.
Orientation Dates
- Friday, August 14th
Each session begins at 9:00 a.m. with registration in the Triton Café. The morning will feature 45-minute informational sessions designed to help both students and families learn more about campus resources, student support services, and college life at Iowa Central.
Starting at 11:30 a.m., lunch and campus open houses will provide time to connect with departments including Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Admissions, the Bookstore, Housing, Student Activities, TRIO, iJAG, and more. Staff from Athletics and Music & Theater will also be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to answer questions and share opportunities. Campus tours will be offered throughout this time.
While orientation is not required, it is strongly encouraged to help ensure a smooth and successful transition into your first year at Iowa Central.

Information for Parents & Support People
We know orientation is an exciting milestone, not just for students, but for their families and support people as well! While many parts of orientation are designed for students to complete independently, your encouragement and support play an important role.
Before Orientation
Please encourage your student to:
- Know their login information for Triton Pass (Their Iowa Central Student Portal)
- Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as there will be walking involved.
- Bring any requested documents if they have not already been submitted (High School / College Transcripts, AP Test Scores, Placement Test Scores for Math (ALEKS) and/or English (Accuplacer) if requested).
- Fill out their housing application and pay the $150 application fee.
Thank you for partnering with us as your student begins their journey at Iowa Central. We look forward to welcoming your family to campus!
Iowa Central was the best academic and economic option for me.
