Second Chance Pell
Iowa Central has had a long-standing partnership with the Iowa Department of Corrections by offering various opportunities to those incarcerated and was the first in the state to offer 2nd Chance Pell. This is an excellent opportunity for incarcerated individuals who are interested in obtaining an online Associate’s degree, Welding Technology or Carpentry Diploma, OSHA Certifications, CPR, Forklift certifications, and much, much more! Understand that our classes will be challenging but also rewarding. Hard work, dedication, and perseverance are some of the words that you will find yourself using during your educational journey.

I chose Iowa Central because both of my parents came here and absolutely loved the environment. I was able to be a part of so many programs at once which isn't offered at other colleges. I knew right away after visiting that it would be a great school where I could better myself as a student and as an athlete.
